Happy New Year. Welcome to my blog. We paper crafters make and send snail mail. We actually put a stamp on it and mail it or hand deliver handmade cards. Here is an example of all occasion easy snail mail card making. I paired a darling snail stamp with a background script stamp. Also included are die-cutting and heat embossing for added accents. In today's project, I used the sweet stamp by Unity Stamp Company called Patiently Posted. I used a mix of background stamping, simple die-cuts and heat embossing. The snail pops with a touch of marker coloring in teal, tan and pink hues.

Sentiment: Snail mail... because good things take time.
Helpful Tips:
Prepare a vertical card base from white cardstock, 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded.
Stamp the snail with the sentiment onto smooth white cardstock using Copic friendly ink or ink compatible with your coloring medium.
Trim an oversized sheet of dark teal cardstock and prepare the surface with an antistatic tool or powder for heat embossing.
Stamp the background script onto the dark cardstock using a stamp positioning tool like the Misti with white pigment ink.
Add white embossing powder over the background stamping, soon after stamping.
Set the embossing using a heat tool right away.
Color the snail stamping.
Die-cut the script panel slightly smaller than the card base, and die-cut the snail panel and a frame in mint, using the Zig-Zag Rectangles nesting dies.
Adhere the background and the card layers onto the card front using flat and foam double-sided tape.
Optional: Embellish the card using enamel hearts or dots plus cording.
