Watercolor Welcome Baby Themed Elephant Card

Hello and welcome! I want to share another watercolor card process. This time, it is a welcome baby themed elephant card. To keep things soft and sweet, I added pastel watercoloring from a pan set along with stamping. The background panel was made using tag shaped die-cuts. This project is also up on the Unity blog today. The supplies and a video follow.

Helpful Tips:

1. Prepare a white A2-sized card base, 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", horizontally folded.

2. Onto the smooth side of watercolor cardstock, stamp the elephant and the sentiment horizontally using waterproof ink.

3. Add your favorite watercolor on the background and the elephant stamping.

4. Heat set or dry completely.

5. Die-cut a large kraft color tag shape for a frame layer.

6. Die-cut the elephant panel using a smaller tag die.

7. Hole punch the tag on the small end and adhere the reinforcer tab with twine.

8. Adhere the kraft layer to the card base using flat double-sided tape.

9. Adhere the elephant panel using extra tacky tape over the kraft layer.

10. Add a heart embellishment or a patterned paper die cut over the sentiment.
