Two Floral Cards with Stargazers, Backgrounds and Scene Building Tips

These two cards feature flowers in two ways: scene building and lattice background.

Greetings friends. Flowers are on order today. These two cards feature flowers in two ways. One is an outdoor garden with scene-building elements. The other is a flower vase with a lattice background. The techniques involve simple die-cuts and ink blending. Each card was made using similar background and frame supplies, yet accented differently. These card projects feature the Spellbiniders Paper Arts, the beautiful Summertime Collection. The flowers are from Stargazers and from Containers and Foliage dies. The background is from two sets: Open Lace Frame and Landscapes dies and from Decorative Lattice dies. I include project tips, two short videos, and full supplies below.

Sentiment: Congrats

Next up is the flower vase card with a lattice background.
Sentiment: With Sympathy

Helpful Tips:

  • Prepare two vertical A2 card bases in white cardstock.

  • Die-cut and assemble the two sets of flowers and leaves. Cut-out pieces with cardstock and ink blending for color.

  • Die-cut and assemble the lacy background and landscape layers and the lattice layers.

  • Die-cut or trim two background rectangles using rectangle dies with color cardstock and ginghams patterned paper.

  • For the sentiments, die-cut the Congrats and the With Sympathy words using white and gold cardstock.

  • Layer, position and adhere the elements for each card over the card fronts.

Finally, here is a look at both card projects.
