Snarky, masculine, Dad or Father's Day cards 3 easy layouts, minimal supplies

These are snarky, masculine, Dad or Father's Day cards in 3 easy layouts using minimal supplies.

Hi there. Welcome to my blog. Here is a simple project idea for you. These are snarky, masculine, Dad or Father's Day cards in 3 easy layouts using minimal supplies. I used rubber stamping, color cardstock, Copic marker coloring, die-cutting and fussy-cutting. Plus, I added fun strips using a paper trimmer. See the project supply list below, along with a full-length video tutorial of the process.

Helpful Tips:

  1. Prepare three A2-sized card bases from white cardstock, 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded.

  2. Stamp a text background twice onto two large, smooth, mint cardstock pieces. I used a dark teal ink pad.

  3. Die-cut or trim both of the stamped backgrounds using a large deckle rectangle die or trim 4" x 5 1/4".

  4. Trim one of the stamped backgrounds in half diagonally.

  5. Cut 8 long accent strips from mint and white cardstock.

  6. Glue one strip on one edge of each of the triangle-cut backgrounds.

  7. Glue 6 accent strips diagonally onto half of the rectangle background panel.

  8. Trim off excess strips from each card.

  9. On smooth white cardstock, using black alcohol-friendly ink, stamp the sentiments and three icons (cooler, beer or soda cans, cell phone).

  10. Die-cut or trim the sentiments.

  11. Color the icons and then fussy cut them. I used Copic markers, but use what you have.

  12. Assemble the cards by adhering each background layer, the sentiments and the icons.

Here is the first card with a fun pun sentiment.

Sentiment:
Now that I'm an adult, you seem a lot cooler.

And here is another funny one with a Father's Day sentiment.

Sentiment:
Happy Father's Day!
Thanks for everything you do. I could never repay you. LITERALLY.

And that's not all. Look at this one. Can you relate?

Sentiment:
Love you. {even when you forward weird emails}
