Hello and welcome to my blog. It is a great time to get a jump on those holiday cards. I've been chipping away at them ahead of the busy season. For today's card making project, the Santa stamp is the main event. This Santa stamp is also part of the August 2026 Kit Of The Month. I love the cuteness of his wink, the lovely sentiment options and the ease of coloring. To complement him, I added pretty patterned paper and a scalloped border with twine. Here is a look at the finished card.
Sentiment: A wink, a wish, and Christmas cheer.
To begin building the card, stamp the Santa and the sentiment onto smooth white cardstock. Then, die-cut the panel using arch dies. Using coordinating colors of your favorite markers, color the Santa. I used layers of Copic marker coloring in shades of ivory, light tan, pink, blue, yellow, red and green.
Also, die-cut a rectangle background panel from patterned paper using rectangle nesting dies. Optionally, die-cut or trim a border on one side of the layered card front. I used one from my stash, which is no longer in stock. Use what you have. I note where to find similar options.
Finally, add softness by finishing the card with tied twine or cording around the border layer.
