One layer winter deer scene building ~ stamp, heat emboss, stencil, ink blend

Hi friends. Welcome to my blog. Today's project is an elegant winter deer card with scene building. I used stamping, heat embossing, stenciling and ink blending, all on one card front panel. Try mixing these techniques for a magical look. For the focus of this project, I used Where The Treetops Listen red rubber stamps. I paired this with the Snowy Scapes Stencil. Helpful Tips:

1. Precut and score a white A2-sized card base for a vertical card 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".

2. Trim a sheet of smooth white cardstock for stamping.

3. Stencil 3 or 4 slopes on the bottom half of the stamp panel using light gray ink blending at the top of the slopes.

4. Add generous ink blending over the top half just above the slopes. Use dark blue and medium blue colors.

5. Heat set the ink blending.

6. Stamp the two deer using gold metallic ink.

7. Add clear embossing powder over the deer and then heat set the deer stamping.

8. Stamp three trees and snow for a background with white pigment ink.

9. Add white embossing powder over the trees and snow, then heat set the background.

10. Die-cut or trim the scene using a deckle & stitched rectangle die 4" x 5 1/4".

11. Stamp and trim a sentiment onto a label or stamp directly onto the background itself.

12. Adhere the card front to the card base using flat or foam double-sided tape or glue.
