Hi there. Welcome to my blog, it's Gaylynn. Art journaling is another craft that I love. This is a way to use your crafty supplies differently. Combine stamping, watercolor, die-cutting and a sentiment for an art journal or scrapbook. For this project, I used a mini watercolor journal. The products featured are from the February 2026 Kit Of The Month stamp set and also from the KomPanion stamp set called Puddles to Petals. I include the project steps, a video and supplies below. As always, use what you have to make similar projects or cards.

Helpful Tips:
Precut a yellow panel 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" from patterned paper.
Select an art journal page to add the prepared stamped and layered panel.
Stamp the bird scene and the sentiment onto different pieces of smooth watercolor paper. Use waterproof black ink.
Die-cut the stamped panel 3" x 3" using Scallops & Squares nesting dies.
Die-cut the sentiment using a small die from Scalloped & Stitched sentiment nesting dies.
Color the bird scene using watercolor brush markers or pens.
Heat set between different watercolor sections.
Layer and adhere the bird panel, the yellow background layer and the sentiment over the journal page using extra tacky tape or glue.
Additionally, here is another look at the mini journal page.
Sentiment: When in doubt, bring your own sunshine.
