Metallic Stamping and Embossing ~ 3 Holiday Cards

Hello. Here, I created three holiday greeting cards with metallic stamping and embossing. Three different shades of metallic ink were used along with ink blending for the backgrounds.

This is the card in rose gold metallic ink.

Helpful Tips:

In summary, for metallic stamping and embossing choose three shades of metallic ink pads. Also, choose three shades of distress ink pads. Then, prepare three A2 sized card bases in white, 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" folded. Next, trim or die-cut a card front panel for stamping and a black frame layer a bit larger. Also, die-cut three sets of layered sentiments along with three metallic stamped and trimmed complementary sentiments. Set those aside. Before stamping the trees, add color on each of the three card front panels using the colors of worn lipstick, wild honey and spun sugar distress ink pads, one color per panel. Then, using a stamp positioning tool, stamp one tree onto a torn lipstick blended panel using rose gold metallic ink. Use the same ink for the complementary sentiment. Next, use clear embossing powder to heat set the stamping, as in this example. Also, repeat the stamping and embossing for the next two panels. Note, an alternative to heat embossing the metallic ink is to lightly spray workable fixative over the stamping to set the ink. (This should be done outside following the fixative spray instructions.) Finally, adhere all of the layers inside and out with either glue, thin foam or flat double-sided tape, to finish.
