Giant Spinning Snowflakes Holiday Card Making

Here is the process of creating two giant shimmery snowflake greeting cards that spin around.

Hello. Welcome to my blog. Here is the process of creating two giant shimmery snowflake greeting cards that spin. Both cards feature the Snowflake Kisses Collection by Lisa Horton and Simon Hurley's The Joyful Christmas Sentiments. Also, I incorporated interactive card spinner elements with both cards. Both cards feature a variation of the Layered Snowflake dies. In addition, the Joy card includes the gorgeous snowflake background dies. These items are by Spellbinders Paper Arts.

This is a look at the shimmery snowflake card with the background layer.
Sentiment: Merry Christmas

And this is another version of the snowflake with a solid background.

Sentiment: Joy to the world.

For each of these giant snowflake cards, first layer the layered snowflakes die-cut pieces. I chose glittery and solid cardstock in different colors and styles. Also, prepare the snowflake background cover layers. Next, hot foil and then die-cut the press & foil sentiments for shimmery greetings. Adhere a large card spinner element with a small amount of liquid glue between the snowflake and the background. TIP: Reinforce the top and bottom layers that will contact the spinner element, using a small piece of cardstock. This allows the spinner element to turn and spin freely without bumps. Finally, adhere the prepared sentiments to finish.

Additionally, take another look at the pair of cards made in one setting.
