Hello and welcome to my blog. It is okay to mix a little humor into holiday cards for those who enjoy it. It brings smiles. Make a stamped festive bird card and creative strips for accents. Adding trimmed details with solid paper is an easy way to mix up the layout. Some of the items used are Festive Little Weirdo and Frost & Fawn Background stamps. To accent, add cuts from arch dies, heart dies and alphabet dies. The featured products are by Unity Stamp Company.

Here is a look at the finished card.

To make this card, stamp the deer background and the funny bird with a sentiment onto two separate smooth white cardstock sheets. Color the bird panel with your favorite markers. Next, die-cut the bird using nesting arches, then trim or die-cut the background panel to fit the card base.

If you want more accents, add some trimmed paper strips in coordinating colors. Choose other accents like die-cut alphabet letters to make the joy word. Finally, add a heart with the sentiment.
