Dragonfly Sympathy or Support Card with Patterned Paper, Stamping & Copic Marker Coloring Techniques

Hey there. Welcome. This is an easy dragonfly sympathy or support card to make for condolences or any time. Just change out the sentiment. Grab a patterned paper pack and a stamp set to get things started. Some of the techniques I used are rubber stamping, Copic marker coloring, fussy cutting and paper trimming. This is another example of DIY layered angles. This particular card is for sympathy or support. However, the layout works for almost any occasion. Helpful Tips:

1. Precut and score a white card base horizontally. 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" folded.

2. Stamp the dragonfly and the sentiment onto two pieces of smooth white cardstock. Use black alcohol friendly ink.

3. Trim patterned paper layers to make a background with angles. I used the same paper pack.

4. Layer and adhere the background panels to fit the card front horizontally, 4" x 5 1/4".

5. Trim the sentiment to size and add a frame layer from the paper pack selections.

6. Color the dragonfly. I used Copic markers.

7. Fussy cut (cut out) the dragonfly.

8. Add splatters to all of the layers except for the sentiment. Dry completely.

9. Layer and adhere the elements to the card front using flat and foam double-sided tape.
